about

This album has undoubtedly Ian Martin's blueprint sound, but it is one in evolution.
Whereas previous releases like 'Intensions' and 'Mechanical Rain' had a more fluid and languid feel, Ian is increasingly adopting a more musique concrete approach to his work.

Using elements and sounds from his everyday life, Ian manipulates these to create both melody and, occasionally, a bass line. Moreover, songs like 'Love Or Art' or 'Medusa' contain touches of playfulness without losing mystique or underlying tension.

The album draws you into a world of contrasts; dreamy landscapes and beauty on the one side, paranoïa and menace on the other.

To be fully appreciated, the record needs and deserves to be listened to in its entirety.
